ChatApp was the graduation project during my online course in Skillshare. During this UI web design course, I got to practice basic components essential for web design (Composition, Hierarchy, Typography, Sampling Colors, Overlapping). Not to mention, the working process with clients and important questions that need to be considered while building mood board and wireframe so not to cause misunderstanding. As the primary goal is to create a user-friendly platform, the design should be visually appealing, user-friendly, and reflective of modern design trends.
Define Objectives: Before diving into design, I need to clearly outline the objectives of the ChatApp website: What's the goal?, Who's the target audience?, What's the desired look & feel of the site?, Any specific functionality?
Research and Inspiration: Next is conducting research on other UX/UI designer portfolios to gather inspiration and understand current design trends. The main resources are usually Dribble, Behance.
Ideate and Design on Figma: Build user personas, information architecture, brand guidelines, select typography
Build final website on Webflow: Final product needs to be responsive on all devices and user-interactive.
